Description of Kit Options - Sport Parasol
WING TIP KIT - All necessary components to install curved aluminum tube wing tips to the standard Parasol wings.
CUSTOM UPHOLSTERY - Custom manufactured padded upholstery to add comfort to the Sport Parasol seat. Black color is standard. Installs with velcro stripping.
STANDARD BRAKE KIT - All necessary components to install mechanical band brakes to the standard 16" wheels, including brake drums, mounting drums, cables, housing brake lever, metal fittings, hardware, and instructions.
CUSTOM ALUMINUM SPOKE WHEELS AND BRAKE KIT - All necessary components to install custom 16" spoked aluminum wheels and brakes, including split, cast aluminum wheel halves, tubes, tires, bearings, internal drum brakes, hardware, cables, housing, break lever, and instructions.
10 GALLON FUEL SYSTEM - All necessary components to install an additional custom molded polyethylene 5 gallon fuel tank to the fuselage. This tank mounts in the fuselage and is combined with the standard 5 gallon to give a 10 gallon capacity. Please note: Aircraft C.G. must be observed with all fuel systems.
BALLISTIC PARACHUTE - Rocket deployed parachute recovery system designed to lower both the pilot and aircraft to the ground in case of a mishap such as a mid-air collision. This is probably the best insurance you can have---right there and then when you need it most.
STROBE KITS -
Single Strobe - All necessary components to install a single strobe light to the vertical fin of the Sport Parasol.
Dual Strobe - All necessary components to install a strobe light in each wing tip of the Sport Parasol.ALUMINUM PROP SPINNER - 4" diameter aluminum spinner to mount on a "B" style Rotax gear box.
PRIMER KIT - All necessary components to install a fuel line primer to a single Rotax carb for greater ease of starting.
SHOCK CORD COVERS - Lightweight, coated, black nylon covers that protect the landing gear shock cords from oil and sunlight. Covers are velcroed in place and have draw strings at each end to seal covers up tightly. Instruction sheet included.
FRONT STORAGE COMPARTMENT - All material to install a front storage compartment in the nose area, including aluminum material, hinges, hardware and instruction sheets.
REAR STORAGE COMPARTMENT - All materials to install a rear storage compartment on top of the Sport Parasol turtledeck, including aluminum material, hinges, hardware and instruction sheets.
REAR BAGGAGE SLING - Lightweight coated black nylon baggage sling that installs in the turtledeck area.
FALSE RIB KIT - Pre-laminated ribs manufactured for a perfect fit. Supports fabric from the leading edge to the spar every 7-1/2" (standard spacing is 15").
ALUMINUM PROP SPINNER - These shiny little 4" diameter spinners add that finishing touch. The spinner is made of spun aluminum, and comes with a nicely machined prop backing plate that matches the Rotax drill pattern and mounts on a "B" style Rotax gear box.
OPTIONAL TAIL WHEEL - This welded tail wheel assembly comes standard now with new kits, but is still available for customers wishing to upgrade from the previous style.
SPORT PARASOL DECAL SET - This professionally cut decal set includes the words "Loehle Sport Parasol" and also the aircraft theme "Back to Basics...and Low Cost" to put on the vertical fin. The pilot's name in 1" letters are also included (usually placed near the cockpit). The letters are black and come with backing, so all you need to do is clean and wet the surface area, moisten the decal, peel the backing paper and position in place. Note: Be sure to write down exactly how you wish your name to appear when ordering.
PRE-BUILT WING RIBS - This option is available to speed the building process. Materials are used from the airframe kit ordered, and the ribs are supplied pre-built.
PRE-BUILT TAIL - This option is available to speed the building process. Materials are used from the airframe kit ordered, and the 6-part tail section is supplied pre-built.
BRS BALLISTIC PARACHUTE (Includes Installation Kit) - Custom soft pack mounts neatly hidden between the wing roots under the gap cover.
BRS BALLISTIC PARACHUTE (Installation Kit Only) - If you know you plan to install a BRS but want to wait on ordering it, go ahead and order just the installation kit. It's much easier to do the inside work before you close the sides.
