We have an exciting SE5a WWI biplane project sitting in our shop gathering dust. We can’t seem to find time to finish it to flight status. Several other projects are requiring our time – from Loehle Aero Coatings orders to finishing the kit for our new Spitfire replica.

We planned for this SE5a to be our factory demo plane and it is fully assembled and fabric covered (less engine). Even the tail surfaces are all completely painted! All that is left is for someone to get her airborne in a couple of weeks or so is to paint the wings and fuselage, and order/install the instruments and engine. [We can supply a new Rotax 503 and instruments, and are willing to finish up the paint for a price.]

The aircraft is being offered at a real savings. The airframe kit less engine is $14,995 (going up to $15,995 very shortly) and we generally receive around $15,000 for labor to complete one through rigging, engine installation, covering and custom painting.

We would like to have a pilot who wants to get into the air fast to pick this fine bird up from us and get it flying---which is what this aircraft deserves!

This is a one-time bargain---so get it before we change our minds about letting it go! We may come to our senses and decide to finish it ourselves since it’s so close to being ready to fly!
