If you're a little hesitant about your building skills and want to try just a small part first, order a Rudder Confidence Kit and try your hand at building just the rudder for $135 ("5151") or $175 (P-40).  This sample kit is actually part of your aircraft when you're finished.  (These also make a nice birthday gift.  Be sure to order two weeks in advance to allow shipping time.)

 Good News!  Because our paint products volume has steadily increased (thanks to many fine customers!), we have been able to negotiate better prices from chemical suppliers ...and we're passing some of the savings back to you (for at least a limited time).  Check the updated price list for REDUCED PRICES...yes, reduced prices.   We'll review costs again August 1 and realize oil/transportation costs may increase...so meanwhile enjoy...and call us when you're ready to paint!

This is older news but in case you don't know...SPORT PILOT/LIGHT SPORT AIRCRAFT RULING HAS BEEN SIGNED!!!  It's official!!  We got word on July 16 that the OMB signed the long awaited Sport Pilot/ Light-Sport Aircraft Ruling, and on July 20 the FAA officially signed/released the ruling!  This is BIG news that will allow a lot more pilots in the air without the complexities and cost of the full private license.  It will allow utilizing the drivers license instead of the previously required  medical exam which has kept so many fully competent aviators out of the air .  It will also allow sale of ready-to-fly aircraft in a whole new category!   Move on up from ultralights into light-sport aircraft with the new sport pilot license.  All 8 of our aircraft kits meet the requirements!

Our Mission

We are committed to providing high quality, easy-to-build aircraft kits that are affordable in price.  All our designs fly similar to a J-3 Cub... very docile.   This allows pilots to enjoy the thrill of flight without having to be a super macho, highly skilled pilot, even though with most of our planes,  you'll look like a fighter pilot!  With the added not-to-be-missed shine of our coatings, you'll have a super looking plane of which to be very proud.

Our Aircraft Kits

You will find that our "5151" Mustang, P-40 Flying Tiger, KW-909, Spitfire, and Sport Parasol kits to be of time proven wood construction.  In our Mustang, P-40, KW-909 and Spitfire kits, we machine virtually all the parts for you, so you will not require a table saw or band saw!  The parts are even tapered, notched, grooved, and numbered (much like a premium quality model airplane kit, but with bigger parts which makes them easier to work with).  

Our WWI era biplanes - the Spad XIII, Fokker D-VII and SE5a - are made of aluminum tubing with pre-stamped aluminum ribs.  These are pre-assembled at the factory for you.  Your job is much simpler -- add instruments, engine, cover and paint.  Of course, you'll want to buy the silk scarf and goggles before you fly "Dawn Patrol!"

The nostalgic "Jenny" from the barnstorming era rounds out our line.  The "Jenny" is a 2-place made of a welded 4130 chromoly fuselage, with wings of aluminum tubing and pre-stamped aluminum ribs.  You can do the welding yourself, or have us do it for you.  [Note: The Jenny kit has been discontinued.  Plans are still available - call for details.]

Our Loehle Aero Coatings have taken us into areas we had not anticipated so soon after making our system public...from painting ultralights to F-15's...to equipment for the space shuttle.   The exterior of the plane is what everyone sees...our goal is to help you create an award-winning finish to top off all your hard work on the structure.  We can help with UV protection, pinhole filling magic, basic colors to show-plane paint schemes.  Our aircraft kits have required we become proficient in all facets -- metal, composite as well as fabric covering, which has given us a rich background to help us help you no matter what plane you have.
